For anyone that has needed the services of Lillian M. Hudspeth Memorial Hospital (LMH), it is evident in all aspects of care that the staff understands and lives by their mission and vision.
Operated by the Sutton County Hospital District, LMH is a critical access hospital licensed for twelve beds, and not only serves Sonora and Sutton County, but the surrounding area and those traveling I-10. It was just a few years ago, residents of the area had to travel to San Angelo to receive even the basic tests needed for healthy living. Today, LMH stands out as a regional leader in technology.
Hudspeth Hospital offers a high nurse-to-patient ratio providing quality care for all patients. It provides general medical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis.
A few of the available services include: Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Services, GI Services, Physical Therapy, Imaging, and Laboratory.
The Sonora Medical Clinic offers five medical providers including three physicians and two mid-level providers. The clinic, located on the hospital campus is open Monday through Friday.
Construction is underway of the new 8200 sq/ft imaging center and GI and specialty procedure space. The new imaging center will include MRI, ultrasound and digital mammography. The GI and specialty procedure space will include a dedicated GI suite for colonoscopy and endoscopy as well as space for the expanding specialty clinics. Completion is expected October, 2010.
